An old Marley Compac II cooling tower installed at the Courthouse in Bellflower, CA, was collecting too much debris and impacting efficiency. Access to the tower and particularly to the motor were limited, restricting serviceability.

Vertical Systems recommended a tower replacement with improved access to the motor and overall maintenance that could fit into the existing structural steel

A stainless steel Evapco USS cooling tower proved to be the ideal solution for the project. With factory-installed sump sweeper piping, fan motor access ladders, and Lakos automatic basin cleaning skid, the new tower reduced maintenance time and labor while improving service access and system performance.

Vertical Systems and Evapco designed the new tower to be supported by the existing structural steel, and ACCO was able to replace the tower over the weekend, reducing downtime.
